21 Choices (Pasadena, Claremont, USC)
Bailey’s Mudslide
I LOVE the concept for 21 Choices and more importantly I LOVE the frozen yogurt! The never ending, all day line up speaks for itself. Having this yogurt on tap is definitely a must in my dream house!
Pasadena!! I miss you!!!
Cove Fine Foods (North Vancouver)
“To Die For” Banana Bread French Toast
A few days ago I was so excited to post that I had tasted (one of my fave food bloggers) Erin Ireland’s banana bread gelato!!
What I hadn’t posted was that I had previously devoured the teamed up efforts of Ms. Ireland and Cove Fine Foods!
Please raise your hand if you’ve ever had banana bread french toast.
That’s what I thought!
Now I’m telling you to get up early this weekend and make the well worth trip. You will not regret it! Just the thought of chocolate dipped bacon is making me drool!
Save On Meats (Vancouver)
The Bacon Bourbon Milkshake
Now that SOM has a revamped their menu (YES!), they are officially serving alcoholic shakes!! Which is great for me.
My friends love getting drinks, and this way I can have my dessert first in a socially acceptable way! HA!
Each milkshake has 2 oz. of alcohol (waaaay more than I’m used to), add bacon and you’ve got magic in a retro metal cup!
La Casita (Vancouver)
Flan, Churro
As far as Mexican restaurants go, this place was a bit less than decent.
Luckily when it came to the flan not only did they meet my expectations, but they exceeded them! It was thick and soft, and oh so satisfying!
On the other hand (and strangely, same plate) my churros is really a churro (apparently) torn in half by someones hands. The churro itself met the restaurant standards. This one is a passer.
AND WHAT THE HECK IS THE MELTING WHIPPED CREAM FOR?!!!
Cold Stone Creamery / Tim Hortons (Canada/USA)
Cake Batter Delux Cupcake (on left), Sweet Cream Cupcake
Finally getting a Cold Stone in Canada was an answer to my ice cream prayers! And teaming up with Tim Hortons is just plain genius! While everyone else gets their coffee fix I am satisfying my itch with creamy goodness!
In addition Tim Hortons has 3 unique flavours which are all delicious (yes, I’ve had LARGE portions of each): Double Double (coffee), Canadian Maple, and Ice Capp!
It takes everything in me not to eat here everyday. Seriously.
Bella Gelateria (Vancouver)
“To Die For” Banana Bread Gelato
One of my fave Vancouver food bloggers, Miss Erin Ireland, has teamed with Bella to create this breakthrough gelato flavour!!
Indeed it is “To Die For”!! After I finished two scoops of it I was craving more!
Bella Gelateria in general is a GREAT place for fun and delectable flavours!!
Cactus Club Cafe (British Columbia, Alberta)
Peanut Butter Crunch Bar
As one of Chef Rob Feenie’s Signature dishes I knew it would be delicious!
I purposefully ordered this though because part of the proceeds is going to the Make-A-Wish Foundation… AND HELLOOOOOOO peanut butter!!!
p.s. Don’t be jealous if yours doesn’t come with a candle to melt your ice cream quicker!
PB and Chocolate Smoothie
New at Jugo is this incredible (and decently healthy - what!?) drink. Using low fat yogurt, all natural peanut butter, chocolate almond milk, and frozen bananas, this smoothie is going to get me coming back time and time again ALL SUMMER!
OR just make it at home (and spend your money on other desserts)! Easy peasy!
